Since Space Walk invented the 1st inflatable bounce in the U.S. in 1960,
our products have been duplicated by others the world over. However,
there is only one Space Walk and our primary concern is the safety of
our customers. Below you will find basic safety guidelines for the use
of inflatables.
1. Every inflatable must be securely anchored BEFORE allowing anyone
to play in or on it. This is done by stakes driven into the ground and
attached to each tether point on the inflatable or sandbags or some other
form of weight.
2. Insure that there is a minimum of 5-6 feet of clearance on all
sides. NEVER position an inflatable near power lines, trees or any obstructions.
3. Follow all instructions provided to you by the person you rented
the equipment from. Some of the more common are: an adult must
always be in attendance, do not operate any inflatable in the rain, make
sure there are no breaks in the electrical cord on the blower or an extension
cord if you are using one, never operate an inflatable if winds
are in excess of 20-25 miles per hour, always use a Ground Fault Circuit
Interrupter plug or cord with any water inflatable, keep participants
all about the same size to avoid injury, do not overload the equipment.
4. Anyone with any of the following conditions should not be allowed
to play on an inflatable:
A. Current or previous injury to the back or neck.
B. Chronic knee or other joint conditions
C. Any respiratory conditions including asthma or bronchitis
D. Pregnancy
5. Do not allow anyone to play on an inflatable with shoes, jewelry
including rings, bracelets, watches and earrings.
6. Do not allow anyone to play on an inflatable without an attendant
present.
7. Do not allow any rough housing, flips, or any aggressive behavior
on an inflatable.
These are general rules for the safe operation of inflatables. Please
ask the person or company providing the equipment for you to furnish
specific safety instructions for the item(s) you are renting.
Inflatable amusements are FUN and SAFE when they are used correctly.
Should you have any questions or concerns about the safe operation of
the inflatables you rent, the dealer should be able to answer your questions.
Safety is every Space Walk Partners first priority and it should be yours
as well.
